Using RFID tags in the db.Mobil app

If your sows are fitted with an RFID tag for use with RFID-enabled feed systems, for example, you can retrieve sow data from the tag using the transponder in the db.Mobil app. You can set this up on your mobile phone for a total cost of approximately €150 (price subject to change).

For this you will need a tag reader from "Chiphandel.de" and an additional app from "tec-it". The tag reader connects to your mobile phone using Bluetooth. To do this your mobile phone must be Bluetooth-enabled. Click here to access the "Chiphandel" online shop:shop.chiphandel.de/de/chiplesegeraete/plus-extra-koffer

You also need the “Blue Piano Bluetooth Wedge” app from tec-it to transmit the data received via Bluetooth to the keypad of your mobile phone. You can download the app from Google Play Store for approximately €20 (price subject to change).

When the Bluepiano App is installed, the keypad of your mobile should look like the screenshot below on the left. Activate the Bluepiano App using the second button in the bottom left-hand corner. In the db.Mobil data input interface, select “Transpond” ahead of the sow number input field. When you scan the tag, the full code will be read out on the screen. In the db.Mobil app settings (see screenshot below on the right), you can specify which digits in the code should be read as the tag.

PLEASE NOTE: After you exit the "Transpond" field, the code is shortened to the specified number of digits and you can retrieve the specific sow data.
