The centre:
The Emsland pig AI centre has been in existence for over 25 years and was acquired by BHZP in 2010. It was the first AI centre in Lower Saxony to be licensed for intra-European trade, allowing it to market pig semen to all EU states. The Emsland AI centre also pioneered the provision of the scanner service. Today the centre has more than 200 modern boar spaces with a good health status.
